Book - rationale
Brief: (what is the problem you intend to solve?)
To make a hotdog fold book based on the photographs i took from the 'Art of travel' brief. I intend to use different materials and media. 20 of these books need to be produced, all exactly the same. These books will be on sale at the book fair.

Who needs to know? (who is your audience)
People who attend the book fair. People come from around the world so the book needs to be eye catching and different.

What do they need to know?
What my book is based on. What is the subject? i.e. blue Why is this interesting? Composition, objects, shades of blue etc.

What will they respond to? (how will they connect/understand the outcome?)
If they like the book, they can buy it. The book should be interesting to look at.

What research is required? (what do you need to know in order to complete this brief to the fullest potential?)
Primary: Photographs, mark making, binding, mixed media, drawing, painting, printing methods, stitching, fabric, stock, cut out, collage. Look at old fashioned books.

Secondary: Internet, look at books, others artists who manipulate existing books, artists who use a range of different materials in book making. Whether they use type and whether its necessary for me to use type or not.
